Truly Blessed Under Southern Stars, the title of my new songbook has gone to print. It contains 31 original compositions. All songs included in the book have been recorded by me and are still available. All my popular songs have been included, 'Awesome God', 'Sons of Gallipoli', 'I want to sing with you, Mum', 'It's Christmastime in Aotearoa', 'God of our island home' to name a few.
Often people have asked me for the lyrics and music of my songs. I am pleased now to have this comprehensive collection available. Apart from listening to the recordings this book gives musicians and groups the ability to sing and play these songs in a new and hands on way. I hope you find the collection helpful and the book user friendly.
The songbook contains the melody, lyrics and guitar chords for each of the songs plus several very beautiful colour photographs from around the country. A theme page at the back of the book is helpful to use to make your selection when preparing your service, liturgy or prayer reflection.
Peter Healy SM kindly gave me permission to use one of his latest paintings as the cover design of the book. Mt Pollux in Otago.
The book runs into 75 A4 pages with a white ringbinding which facilitates easy use on a piano, keyboard and music stand.
