Sons of Gallipoli

I was invited by the Department of Internal Affairs (Visits and Ceremonial Office) to sing 'Sons of Gallipoli' at the National War Memorial and at Ataturk Memorial in 2009 on Anzac Day. The National War Memorial service was televised on TV One and I was accompanied for the first time by a small brass band from the Army. The song has featured  several times on Praise Be in their Anzac coverage with me singing with the Auckland Boys Choir. The feedback and appreciation of the song continues to grow and it has become part of the annual commemoration. I am thrilled and honoured to know the song captures the depth of feeling and mood of this important day.

The lyrics of the song can be viewed on my lyrics page. The song is featured on two of my albums, Serenity and You raise me up.
