'And a cloud took him from their sight'

Today we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord. My composition, 'Only Jesus,' is an appropriate song for us to reflect on as we contemplate this mystery of our faith.

His homecoming will one day be our homecoming.

The Gospel account from Luke 24:46-53 has the disciples worshipping him as he was taken from their sight and then going back to Jerusalem full of joy and in the temple praising God.

Knowing that Christ has promised to be with us always and reveals himself to us often, perhaps we can recall a moment of joy in our lives and be present to it now and praise God for the gift and grace we received?
