Drink the new wine of the Spirit

Come fill our lives with the freedom
Only the Spirit can give
Because hearts set free are those destined to live
Just as the river runs to the sea
The Spirit flows through you and me
Come with our longings, culture and faith
Celebrate oneness here in this place
Remember that we are beloved
Sons and daughters of God
Come now; let’s rejoice in God’s unconditional love

Christ commissions each one of us as we hear in today's Gospel from John 20:19-23
'As the Father sent me, so I am sending you.'
After saying this he breathed on them and said:
'Receive the Holy Spirit....'
In the Spirit may we work for a deeper understanding and acceptance of one another.
May we be active in healing divisions. May all we do and say be influenced by the Spirit.
Light immortal, light divine
Visit thou these hearts of thine
And our inmost being fill
