'You are looking at him; he is speaking to you.'

The title above are the powerful and revealing words of Jesus to the blind man he has cured in the Gospel for today taken from John 9:1-41.

Jesus asks him if he believes in the Son of Man and he responds by saying 'tell me who he is so that I may believe in him. Jesus then says you are looking at him...…

He makes a wonderful act of faith in Jesus by saying 'Lord I believe, and worshipped him, acknowledging by doing so the divinity of Jesus.

All of us need to have our eyes open to make that same act of faith. To see him looking and speaking to us. Perhaps in the silence of our prayer and reflection today, we can make that act of faith with some small sign or gesture of worship.

You might like to listen to the song 'We believe in you' from the album 'Serenity.'

We believe in you

He is calling to us

He is asking what we need

We believe in you

He is listening to us

He is waiting our reply

We believe in you

Like the blindman on the road

with the courage that he showed

with all those who bear the load

We believe in you

Jesus, heal our blindness

Jesus, fill the emptiness

We believe in you

Jesus, for the broken

Jesus, those abandoned too

We believe in you

For the ones who's voice is weak

and the ones who seldom speak

who are left out on the street

We believe in you

Like the blindman on the road

with the courage that he showed

with all those who bear the load

We believe in you

Blessings on your week
