Mass for 23rd Sunday from our Seminary Chapel

I would like to welcome you to our seminary chapel once again for Mass today. We meet in our Gospel ( Mark 7:31-37) the healing Christ. Since recording the Mass, our country has experienced another terrorist event which reminds us of our fragility and vulnerability in the face of senseless violence. I pray for the gift of peace and healing for those affected by what happened at Lynn mall in Auckland. Bring healing and reconciliation to our country, Lord. Help us seek communion and trust.

People too continue to deal with Covid and an elderly woman has died. Thank you Lord for all those who attend to the sick and dying. They are signs of your healing and compassionate presence. Receive the dead into your loving embrace.

We have begun the Season of Spring in our part of the World and we give thanks that Spring reminds us of new life and the gift of hope.

As a Church too we have begun the Season of Creation, the annual Christian celebration of prayer and action for our common home. Together, the ecumenical family around the world unites to pray, protect, and advocate for God’s creation. This year from 1 September through 4 October, hundreds of thousands of Christians will be uniting around the theme, “A home for all? Renewing the Oikos of God. I the would like to acknowledge all those who advocate for the homeless to secure a place of comfort and shelter for them.

Blessings too for all Dad's on Father's Day. May father's experience the love, appreciation and support of their families today.

Here is the link to the Mass. Cut and paste the link into your search engine and hopefully the video of the Mass will play. Blessings on your week. Keep safe and stay well.
