We remember and give thanks

I hope you've all had an enjoyable Matariki weekend. The Maori New Year reminds us to
be grateful for what has been and for what is to come. We are called to remember loved ones who have passed away especially in this past year. Of course the sharing of kai
is an important part of the being together to remember.
I see a connection on this feast of the Body and Blood of Jesus.
We gather to remember Jesus, his life, death and resurrection, all that he has done for us and continues to do for us. We listen to his word together and share in the food of life. The gift so simple and everyday, bread and wine, transformed into his body and blood. His words echo down the ages, 'Do this in memory of me.'
We gather and remember our loved ones and commend them to the love and protection of our Saviour.
I have two songs for you today. 'Remember me' from 'Chants for Silence' and Matariki (lyrics composed by James Lyons). Matariki, also features on my latest album 'Centred in God' available on Spotify.
Blessings on your week.
